Ok I just purchased my first 240 today. and oh god do i have a lot of work to do on it. I bought the car with no Hood, fenders, bumber and headlights. The car used to have a 180sx conversion front end on it. So i bought all the parts need. Except the little things. I was wondering if when someone does the conversion that the cut or like change the headlight wiring. Thats all i need. My headlights to work. And ill be so happy. anys ways the motor wires are there. but i dont think theyre working. And what boggle my mind is that i do not see the headlight wire that plugs into the back of the headlights themselves. Now does anyone know what to do and how to fix this? it seems some wires were possiblt just cut. so any help would be appreciated. Maby i just have to goto advanced auto parts or something and possibly by like an adapter? and soder the wires? im not sure!! HELP ME GUYS!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah one more thing my HUD doesnt work. It did like twice when i first started the car. and it like shorted out when i like put the car in reverse. Would that possibly be wiring? or a fuse? or possibly the capictor behind he hud itself? oh and my gas guage doesn't. LOL thanks guys.

 

Im confused, do you mean the silvia conversion? because the 180sx has the same front end as the usdm 240sx aka they both have pop up lights and the same bumpers (excluding the 95-98 kouki model)

 

if its flip up to flip up...same exact junk...just put it all on..if its silvia...same junk..put it all on...

 

if the car orig. had a silvia swap on it b4 you got it,the headlight motor plug in the cars harness would be clipped off. two of the wires in that plug are used for the yellow foglight/driving light in the projector set up. go to the junkyard... CLIP the two plugs from a parts car, and wire them in to your harness. LKQ in clearwater has them.

 

Ok yea it used to be the silvia conversion. The motors arent running. they have plugs that fit into them. But just nothing happends. Perhaps they are different but i wouldnt know because they fit. I got everything on except the front bumper. I think im missing to brakets that go verticly up and down. all i have is the ones that go into the horizontaly.

 

do you have the headlight brackets that have the horns mounted on them?

 

Yeah i do, I finally got everything on and headlights working. Just not the motors. Oh well I Guess they can hold off for now. thanks guys.

 

you can crank the headlights up by turning the brown knob on the top of the headlight motor,if you dont have power to them yet.
