Default E brake light on???

hey everyone.. was wondering if anybody knew off the top of their heads why the brake light in my cluster would come on and stay on. I checked the fliud in the master cyclinder (by the way car is 1993 240 H/B 5speed) and its full.. the only thing is that when I giggle the e brake the light flickers and sometimes turns off. is there a sensor somewhere that I could diconnect to get rid of the light in the cluster. thanks all
Chris

There is a single wire (yellow/brown?) attached to the base of the e-brake lever. This is the signal to the e-brake light. You'll have to remove the center console to get to it. It should take you about 10 seconds to figure it out once you see how it works.

probably the switch is either loose or (can't remember if the ground is right there or not) ground is losing connection.

For some reason, I don't think laughing at your e-brake will do anything.

+1 on checking the little mechanism at the base of the lever. It may be getting stuck, normal wear and tear...
