are you making a custom gasket? if not it would be easiest to go with a normal exh. gasket from that parts store because the sandwich gaskets are stamped metal stuff that isnt really good for cutting.

I was going to do a custom gasket because I have an OBX header and I need to make a gasket between the header and secondary. I'm not sure if the regular parts store gasket would fit...I could do the aluminum can method, but I'd rather go with a real gasket.

NAPA, or just about any parts store sells gasket material. They sell it by the sheet, with a few different thicknesses. You just have to trace the shape and cut out.

use some thin alum sheetmetal and coat that shit with the orange exhaust sealant stuff. try ot make sure the flanges and surfaces are smooth as possible and tighten it down good. thats what i use on my turbo to downpipe surface since they dont require gaskets but i use it for the 'just in case' factor. and if you're doing it on an n/a header, it should work.

Automotive engineering, sells sheets of exhaust gasket material. Its difficult to cut, so get some good snippers or something.
Thanks!
