1995 nissan 240sx se


i dont know much about nissan or jdm or anything, but i was thinking of learning and doing a silvia conversion :o... i saw the 95 in the f/s forum

i found a site for most of the parts i will need, but i was wondering if this was an s14 or what? thx for any help

yes, 1995-1998 240sx's are s14. Im not sure what other stuff you want to know.

is it better to use an se model than a normal model? whats different?

SE comes with 5-lug, 16" wheels, and some interior options. It might have a VLSD and ABS as well. If (which is a big IF) the SE model has a VLSD, that's really the only performance benefit. 5-lug gets you better wheel selection if you upgrade.

The Silvia powertrain conversion (sr20det) fits right in mechanically. There is an infinite amount of info available online about it.

the body panels are nearly identical.

if youre talking about a 'silvia front end conversion' that usually means S13 (89-94). the front end conversion for your model only entails a front grill and bumper cover, usually. the body had slight differences (diff rear bumper, etc). as far as the motor goes, thats no real big deal.
