Exclamation help! still having trouble

i cant get my car to start. its a 91 240 with a ka24de. i just got new wires for it cuz the old ones were melted on the plugs. idk, whenever i turn the key i can tell its close to starting. you can hear the exuast note a little, so i geuss its getting gas. i think it needs a headgasket, but would that matter if im just tryin to start it? it used to start but i took off the valve cover to look at some stuff and now it wont start. whenever it did start the revs would loaf around alot. if driven for a few minutes it, the water would start boiling in the eng coolant tank. and then it wouldent start after that. could this be a timing issue? i looked at the dipstick and theres no water in the oil. so im lost. im just tryin to get this car to start so i can move it about 2 miles away. ill try to get more details on it later. please help, thanks.

1st off. ... tripple check your firing order. 1 - 3 - 4 - 2

second off, if its boiling the water that quickly, it obviously has a cooling issue. perhaps bad enough to shit your headgasket. it might be too bad to start.

it was a simple timing problem. fixed in like 25 minutes. all i need now is a s14 valve cover and a water pump.
