Default Another KA Overheating

Before i changed my coolent, the car ran perfect. Now after using that Prestone Radiator Cleaner, my car overheats.

According to the directions, im suppose to leave this solution in my system and run the car for a period of 2 days or have it running for 3 hrs. During those 2 days, it overheated a few times, then i decided to flush out the system completely and refilled with 50/50 coolent. After a few days, things seemed to be fine, but just now, it overheated. Does this sound like what Hoonta is going through?

Is my water pump going bad? If coolent circulates from viewing down in the radiator cap, then the pump/thermostat SHOULD be fine.

Just list the items that is associated with overheating: Bad water pump, thermostat....what else?

umm..put a little bit more water instead of just 50/50
try using 70/30 [water/coolant]

does it over heat when sitting? or while moving?

if it over heats while sitting, but cools once you start driving, then its an air flow issue; look towards your fans

if it heats up even while moving at speed, then its a waterflow issue. water pump/thermostat

Well how long should i have to run it to see if it overheats when its just sitting?

We were out messing around at some warehousing parkinglots, then i saw the gauge, the needle was at H. Then i let it cool for awhile, it started to climb, and it nearly hit the H when i got back home. Home is only 2 miles away.

Check your water pump for play/leakage.

now that you mention it Taylor, mine happens while driving.

I had it running at Dday for about 30mins or an hour and needle was fine.
It wasn't until I was driving that it started to over heat.

If that is the case, what is the best water pump to get?

Maybe driving around with LOW oil is the problem!!! The motor IS having some lost oil problem due to screws on the valve cover with NO gasket or sealent.

Today's agenda: Wake up, brush teeth, then skip breakfast because i have to seal all bolts with sealent today to solve this overheating issue!
sorry the focus of the lense was wayyy off, but you can see where the oil level is on the dip stick.
