EDIT... not asking for dimensions anymore, please read and try to help!!

I know this isn't hard core Nissan tech.. but really it is, and there's no other sub-forum that can help w/ my issue.

Another hobby of mine, happens to be building model cars. Most of the models out there now-a-days do not have any engine detail, the hoods are closed (kits without engine detail are called curbside kits). I really enjoy engine detail on my models, and I would really like to scratchbuild a 1/24 scale SR20DET engine.

I figured posting here would be one of my best bets for getting what I need. I've found the black and white schematics online, and things like that, but what I really need is a pic of the bare block and trans without any ancillary parts attached. They need to be side on and front views.

Any help here would be truly appreciated. Here's my latest model build, a S14 kouki w/ a bumper stolen from a R33 GTR, sideskirts are from a S15 specR, custom scratchbuilt rear bumper, R32 seats.. all sorts of stuff really. (model is about 90% complete here)

 

Block is the same size, only a few mm taller. That's a start, at least. Sounds like an awesome project. Maybe I can take some measurements this weekend.

 

Where did you find that car itself? I see skylines and all but not 240sx or silvia's...

...as a KA. Sorry, I assumed since you didn't have an SR in there, I thought it would have a KA!

I have some scale TE-37's around here somewhere. That's about the extent of my model building experience. Owning wheels.

 

The base of that kit is a Fujimi Nissan Silvia K's aero



the front bumper was removed from a tamiya R33 GTR and grafted on. I also took some spec-R sideskirts from a Fujimi S15 silvia and modified them to fit the S14.
