XAT Racing
Not that it's any of my business, but a poster at twinturbo.net has posted about XAT and said comments that were pretty derogatory. I believe everyone should have the chance to stick up for themselves, so if anyone at XAT cares, here's the link:
tt.net post
As I said, I have nothing to do with this....just thought XAT would like to retort.

there are many things that can happen during a swap to have something go bad like that. the person who posted that did not go into ANY detail pertaining to oil pans, pickup condition, etc. any good shop knows that the SR oil pans can become easily dented through shipping, etc, and must be removed and banged into shape. the pickup sits so close to the sump that its insane. my latest motor's pan didnt even look dented in really, but after pulling the pan you could see the mark where it had been touching the pickup slightly.
this person mentioned nothing of the sort, as it can be the #1 cause for a rod knocking motor. also, a motor does not 'develop' rod knock over 50 miles...its either there to begin with or something happened to cause it. the rod knock i hear is so blatent that it would have been detectable at startup. a motor can have a slight knock for quite a while before it gets bad, but that knocking is horrendous.
if that motor was a bad one it would have sounded like it from the day they fired it up. chances are someone either didnt bang the pan out right, or put on the wrong oil filter. people think they know everything but they dont, thats why shops exist to do swaps for people.
ive had a motor with a slight knock, and it was only detectable right around 3k rpm. i didnt notice it from the beginning cause it didnt do it at idle. that motor in the video is doing that at idle. sorry guys, that just doesnt go from quiet at idle to that in 50 miles because it was a 'bad motor'.

dumbass gets ooownnneed by a 2mm inflection from the oil pan :d dont install a motor before reading up about it and the common problems..

not to be the biggest smartass on here or anything, but if that motor was truly a blacktop, it would not be phased by the oil pan being dented in because of nissans redesign of the oil pickup in 4/93.

he posted the same crap on a couple other boards too....why should someone warranty something that they personally did not install..wtf maybe the dork didnt fill the oil before starting it...maybe he took it out and just dumped the clutch in the driveway showing off for his friends and over revved it...there are so many thing that could have been done I do not see why he acts like anyone should warranty his screwup.
