Default start? or not.

ok, just got done installing my newly rebuilt KA, and i turn the key (aka screwdriver--in the process of adding a push start), and i hear the starter just click---click. are the teeth on the starter off from the flywheel teeth? if so, or if not, how do i fix it?

have someone hold the car to start. tap starter.

rinse repeat.

if it engages by tapping it with prybar/hammer/bat then your starter needs rebuilt/replaced

Now it will turn over and i believe i have fuel pressure, but there is no spark. What could be this problem...distributor is on, plugs are plugged into barely used platinum +4 spark plugs.

NGK. And coppers or something cheap to get a resurrected car running well. I'd be pissed fouling out $5 Bosch +4s.. but I wouldn't buy them. And you will foul them out. I went through 2 sets of Bosch Platinum ($.99 each) before my car ran right. +4s ran like hell on my 'Vette, and on a friend's 240sx. I use NGK Iridiums for my KA-T. BKR-6EIX, which I'd also recommend for a high hp NA car (I think that was you *shrug*) because they're one step colder than stock.
