Changing Rear end fluid?
Ok i think its time that i change my rear end fluid.....this will be the first for this car since i have had it since october and i dont think it has been changed in quite some time...since im new to the 240 , how difficult is it? what fluid should i use?(used redline with the supra) and Is this realy neccesary to do?...help me out here guys

its not hard at all, got air tools?... ermm i just used some 80-90 synth... works fine so far

it depends what rear cover you have and what exhaust you have. on some its uber easy , on others you hate yourself.

How ironic, I to am changing my rear end fluid as well as my transmission fluid this weekend. The factory manual for my '98 240 says 80w-90 with a GL-5 rating. I used non-synth because on the back it said for high horsepower/torque applications whereas the synth did not mention so I figured the non was better, but I dunno.
