Default why the sr20de over the ka24de

Okay maybe I'm dumb, whatever. I'm curious though, other than there possibly being more aftermarket stuff for the sr20de motor,
why is it prefered over the ka24de engine?
What makes it the more prefered choice for aftermarket tuners? The ka24de has a larger displacement right? Is it just that there are more goodies made for the 2.0 liter powerplant?
Or is it just the factoy turbo availability for sr20de(t)?
Curious...thanks.

there r plenty of people with Ka24deT motors, they produce more horsepower and killer tourge but the compression is higher then that of an Sr, plus the Sr20det is a motor already built for a turbo so it can be pushed higher.... i guess thats my in put for being with a Nissan for 5months

So, when people talk about doing a 2.0liter swap in their 240sx, they are pretty much wasting money, time, and effort. Right? Because you could concievably add mods to your ka24de and make it as powerful and fast for less dough then the swap. Correct?
