Default Manual Boost controller selection

I would have posted in the forced induction forum but it's pretty dead in there. I was wondering what kind of manual boost controller (I'm broke and it's a lot more cost effective than an ebc) do you guys like? I'm thinking about this one (http://www.dawesdevices.com/) because I've heard from other DSM owners that said it'll build boost faster than a diy boost controller from Home Depot.

What mbc are you guys running and would you guys recommend it?

Is there much of a difference btw the Hallman and the Joe P? There is someone selling the Joe P for a decent price. I'm still deciding.

I just wanted to verify that these are better than a $10 diy project, correct?

Thanks.

Both are very good and accurate. They have been ferfecting them for years. A $10 DIY can work but usually they are hard to get the boost where you want it, or they will spike alot.

I would just spend the extra few bucks to get one that it easy to tune and work great all the time

Yeah, I've heard great things about the Hallman and Joe P. But I found a deal for $35 shipped from the Joe P so I'm going to buy that. Someone bought it but then decided to stay away from forced induction.

Thanks. You guys are of great help.
