I just got done putting a 95motor rs motor in a 98 rs and some of the sensors are different and I need to know exactly what sensors are different.... I know the cam sensor is different but I know there is more but im not sure what they are... please help

 

make sure you switch everything around from you old engine. intake with fuel rail. crank position sensor, cam position sensor, coil pack, hopefully you have the old motor to pull parts from. you might also find the water temp sensor is different on the t stat housing and also there is a iat sensor on the back of the intake manifold. its plug also might be different. simple remove everything from the old engine and transfer over and everything will be fine. good luck.

 

Cam, crank, coil, and speed sensor were round pinned in 95, flat pinned for 96-up. As mentioned, use the parts from the original motor or swap pigtails if you have no other option (more labor obviously).

 

I don't have a old motor to pull the sensors off of.....that is why im trying to find out what sensors where different

 

not having it gonna prove to be a big headache. go fishing at the bone yard
