have a 99 gst AUTO how much would it be to convert to a manual?and is there any shops u guys can reffer me to,thanx for your time

 

Hello well the real question is how much does everything cost to do it,5 speed transmission with all mounts sensors and everything associated to the transmission, axles, slave and master cylinder, linkage cables complete shifter assembly, center console to change from auto, complete wiring harness for a 5 speed that's if you really want it done correctly,ecu, 5 speed cluster, complete clutch, flywheel and peddle assembly. I might be leaving out something. How professionally do you want it done? Ive seen people not change the harness and cluster and other stuff buts its just a hack job. I have a donor car, that's what you need a car with everything in it. Or you will be looking all over the place trying to find hard to find things. where are you located? i have a couple cars as well i am parting out.

 

from what i heard about tranny swapping a gst (from auto to manual) is that it's basically a bitch and you should sell and buy a manual gst. but thats what i've heard.


on a side note tho, depending where you wanna take the car you should just keep it auto, even tho manual is more fun (in my opinion)

 

its pretty much the same just gotta tweak a few things nothing major. just like doing a n/a auto to a man
