Well more like yesterday....

my beautiful 3000 dollar race tranny had the great idea to break..... to make it even better i call the company that did the build for me and they said they can not waranty it, their warrantys are only good for 1 years (have had the car for 2 year) i think its funny cause i have only put 5000 miles on it and the dirt bag had the nerve to make a smart ass comment on how, o maybe you should have put 5000 on it right away.....


needless to say, the car still drives, but reverse is fucked, it will go in but you have to let it roll on its own, give it any gas and it will slip. first clunks a lil on down shift.... im ready to just take it to the track and ends its life haha

Ok but heres my plan. i have my porsche still for sale. my porsche is worth a lil more then a eclipse no matter what year.

Im looking to trade it out, i have the idea to covert the car to stick and call it fair. So i need a wrecked or totaled gst or gsx wit ha working tranny and drive tran, i would like it to be a coupe but ill mess with a convertable. i cant not trade the porsche strait up for a bad eclipse my old man would shoot me. but i would trade for 2 of them one running and driveing would be awsome.

Now that i got that outta the way, i think i need all this for the convert (never done a auto to manual mitsu before)

I have a 96 gst rolling chassis if you can't find one that's just wrecked.

 

i dont need a shell i need the drivetran too. tranny fly wheel ect ect. pretty muhc what im useing the bad car for is for the convertion parts plus some other things i need for my drag gsx


there is 3 gst's at the junk yard that are only missing injectors i mite just buy the whole car

 

you're better off leaving the car auto...and fixing the the problem it has now....the tranny may not need to be completely rebuilt....just replace the part thats busted

plus auto>manual.....

i would suggest contacting Lancerman....and seeking his insight....he has been working on my Talon and i highly recommend talking to him....very knowledgeable when it comes to the trannies

 

this is the second time the tranny has gone out, and its always 1st and reverse.


i dont mind having an auto. i destroy manuals and gets great at the track

that 928S is pretty cool, and i do have a 97 GST spyder with a custom stage 2 TRE 5 speed, and the motor was just built by darkside performance.............

dont get me wrong on here, i love my auto and i love messing with people on the track with it. but im getting annoyed with always haveing 1st and reverse gear problems.
