Default Mitsubishi Eclipse Check Engine Code

I was driving today and I had a check engine light come on, I hooked up my AutoTap and it said the following codes

1.) P0301 Cylinder #1 Misfire
2.) P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction

How would I go about taking the EGR System out or bypassing this?

Ohh god who hates the egr system lol. The egr is picking up the cylinder misfire. Check your plugs first in cylinder 1. make sure your connections from your wires are good. Then go from there bro.

Checked the wires, they are all good. Could it be that the EGR dumped too much exhaust into the cylinder and caused it to misfire?
