eclipse help

Default eclipse help

my eclipse is overheating and i dont know the resaon, the temperature gauge is normal and it wont pass the middle , the fans are running normally but when i shut it down the water starts boiling in the coolant reservoir , i have changed the water cap, t-stat, and other stuff .... my bro thinks that its the water pump but it was replaced like 40k miles ago ... what do you guys think it might be .... thanks a lot ....

if a cooling system isnt holding pressure it usally has to do with the rad cap

this happen to me before. but i ended up with a cracked head cylinder. make sure it isnt. =o

my friend had this problem. come to find out he was running straight water. if you have coolant too then try using water wetter. i heard that stuff is really good.

Sounds like a recurring problem I have been having. I had to replace a hose that had a pin sized hole in it running to the radiator. Flushed it and it runs fine now. Well sorta.

just because somthing is new dont mean it works... an yes water wetter works great i have half a bottle along with straight water in my talon. straight water runs 10-20* cooler than antifreeze/water mix

yea but in most cars straight water boils
