Default Lean or rich?? please help

so my 2 runs today were another failure. with 110 race gas the logger showed a peak of 16 counts of knock in 3rd and a 02 voltage starting at .65 to .76, is this lean or rich?? I'm thinking the knock is from a heat soaked intercooler. also keep in mind this is only at 12psi, I should not be running lean at 12psi.

You run a 16g right? What injectors? I'm showing 95% IDC at 12psi on a 14b with the 450s...

My car is whack though I dunno if its supposed to be that high.

Pretty sure the o2 voltage means you're lean, iirc you wanna aim for .9v, but you need a wideband really.

About the knock, heatsoaking is entirely possible, my car stopped knocking as much in 3rd/4th when I put the evo fmic on. GL

im on a minsy 14b. did a little more research to find that higher octane = lower o2 voltage readings, I should probally mension that i get .86 on 93 so my 02 voltage is right on as far as the 1g's are concerned. I'm thinking now that the low voltage was just the 110 and my only problem could be the heat soaked intercool. but I never seen anybody with problems like this with sidemount and stock turbo. I mean shit, I had another friend run low 14's with stock side mount on a 1g fwd. my car did a 16.0 @ 88mph WTF??? and 88mph trap will tell you its not the driver.

Yea that sucks Todd, like I suggested just look into getting that FMIC and wideband as soon as you can. After that its just a matter of building the fuel system and tuning and you should be able to push that 14b towards whatever climax it can give you.

13's with the 14b and I'll be ready to move on. but it sucks that my next car purchases to get the car running right are going to be expensive. if I get the car to make good power after the FMIC and tunning the clutch will not hold and i'll need to upgrade that as well.

Last ditch effort to try and keep the knock to a minimum, it did'nt work.

Have you pulled the plugs to see what they look like? Just a thought, could be a bad/over torqued knock sensor..

FMICs don't have to be expensive btw...I put together my evo9 core with piping for $180. You can get the SSAC kit for what, 200 bucks? Widebands are kinda pricey though...

plugs were just changed ( and gapped ) a few days ago.

the intercooler I was planning on is the punishment racing street kit, decents size core ( bigger than evo8 ) and everything is only $469. I don't really want to piece a kit together.
