Hurry and get the self grinding billets while you can!
What the happened to Web?!?! Is this due to improper breakin? Did they skip the hardening process?!?! Why are all of these cropping up all of a sudden. I never heard of HKS cams doing this.... May have to look into some Crower cams. They have several grinds available.

I talked to another machine shop after I sent the post out to the Tampabay DSM list and he said the best bet is send the cams and associated followers back to Web and let them determine what is happening to the cams.
When I talked to Laurie she was aware of the complaints but out of all the people she asked noone has sent a set back to them. She said if its Webs fault they will most certainly take care of the problem and replace the cams with a new set.
Web Cam Inc. has been in business for 25 years I dont think they are newbies at this. Dont think you can say the same for HK$.
Also remeber Web Cams are much more aggresive then the competitors so it leaves very little room for error in assembly of the head. That why they recommend running performance springs with any of their cams although you can get by with stockers on their mild grinds.

I sent the cams off to Web about a two weeks ago. I know they have to do a eval. on them before they send out the new set so Im waiting either to get a message or a new set at the door. Everyone else who has sent theirs in has received a new set so I would think I would get the same treatment.
I did hear they are using a different blank now so maybe that means they did have a problem with their original supplier.

Got a new set of cams in the mail on Friday. No explination attached unfortantly but its a new set so I have no real complaints. There already installed with the new cam sprockets so Im just waiting on my new ECU and my turbo and Im ready for the road.

I had to upgrade to a newer revision of the EPROM in order to make the ITC work properly. Unfortantly this is a little trial and error but Todd Day seems to think this will fix it.
Its still a temporary solution until I can afford a real aftermarket system.
