egr ?
i dug deeper into my idle problem i did not bother to check the egr when i looked it has a 1g egr on a 2g manifold i bought it off ebay and just glanced before i put it on without checking it could this cause the rough idle?
i dont think it matters, but you dont really need the egr anyways. try plugging off the vaccuum line that goes to the egr, and see what happens. your idle problem sounds serious though, I don't think an egr could cause that.
do you have a check engine light?
do you have a check engine light?

if the egr valve itself is leaking, it will not cause the engine to stall or run like that. the most you will have is an exhaust leak. just delete the vacuum lines and go from there.

That is, unless the leak is at the gasket (where the EGR valve mounts to the intake manifold). That is what I was referring to, anyway. I assume by "EGR valve itself" you're not referring to the mounting service, though.

If the egr isnt already deleted, get rid of it and cancel out one possibility. Like stated, pull the codes for the light.
