Default 95 gst problem

i need some advice, i just got a 95 gst its my first boosted car and i dont know much about troubleshooting it, the car is fast and pulls hard in high end, the only thing it seems to take it a while especially in first gear for the car to gain any power. the car is bone stock by the way and the spark plugs are brand new. also i cant even bark the tires from1st to 2nd
give me some advice.

its stock, it wont bark the tires in second, mostly because it makes its power with boost and when you shift you dont make boost at first. i couldnt tell you if anything is wrong at all. nothing sounds wrong. it sounds like something you should let someone drive and tell you if it feels normal.

I have never heard anyone describe the top end of a stock 2G as "fast". It should not take any time at all to make boost in any gear on the stock turbo. A preturbo exhaust leak, a boost leak, or general wear and tear on the motor can all lead to increased spool time.

Yeah, I agree. Perhaps a boost leak somewhere. Even on the stock turbo and crappy plastic Bosch BOV, you should be building boost very quickly and have "punchy" acceleration when the boost kicks in.

In the upper RPM and higher MPH range is where the stock T-25 falls flat on its face.
