I'm planning on running KYB GR2 and Eibach Sportline Springs, anyone else running or ran this? Is it a nice drop and is it a comfortable ride?


When I reverse, there is a rattle type noise and it's only when I reverse. Any idea what this might be?

The GR2 Shocks are basically stock shocks relabeled. I didnt think they rode any nicer then stock IMO..

If I were you, I would save up alittle and bite the bullet for KYB adjustables.

The slave cylinder went out on me today riding on 275 in traffic (thanks Skyline Driver for stopping). Should I replace the master cylinder too while the slave is getting replaced? Any good recommendations for slave / master cylinders I should look at?

 

You could go ahead and replace both if you want to. Usually I just replace whichever failed. Currently on my 2g I've only replaced the slave cylinder.

Are you certain the slave cylinder failed?

 

Thats where it looked like it was leaking from. I was sitting in traffic and went to put it in first and the peddle went straight to the floor (does come back up though on its own).

 

This has happened to me before. Make sure its not the part (seal) (end of clutch line) that screws into the slave cylinder wearing out. It happened to my TSI. My pedal hit bottom too. But you can bring it back up by hand. All I did was replace the line. Make sure its not leaking from there first before going and replacing the slave cylinder.

 

When I push the clutch in, it hits the floor easily but comes up on its own.

 

Then it should be the slave cylinder. Pull the boot off of it and see if fluid comes out.

 

Yea it did when I broke down. Kept pressing the clutch and when I looked under the car, there was a puddle.
