Ok well i bought a greddy full auto timer, from a friend, not sure what car he was going to use it in but i am going to be installing it on my 88 starion. Ok now the only problem im having is that I actually ended up with the TRUST version of the timer meaning that all of the instructions are in japenese. I have no clue how to hook one of these things up so any help at all would be appreciated.

They all come with Japanese instructions I haven't figured out why.

 

I would just get on Ebay and buy the vehicle specific harness for like 15 bucks. Afterthat its basically just plug n play. i think the only wires you have to play with are the groung, the E-brake wire and the wire that goes to the ecu harness or whatever. you dont even have to do the ecu harness wire if you dont want to.

 

Isnt the speed sensor wire where the timer reads its info from, since its fulll auto. Based on driving conditions, it selects a time for you. I dont see how else it could get an accurate reading without one.

 

it some how reads engine speed through the power. dont ask me how but thats how its designed the speed is only so that it can do some of the other crap that it does. like lap times and it has a spedo problem is that it only reads kmph.
