Driving on a welded c-diff
Does anyone feel the difference in the car like it has more drag with the welded diff?
Can people using the welded diff tell me the diffrences that they noticed with thier car. ie noises, handling etc.

I hate it.
It increases the already horrible turning radius. My tires skip all the time and the car kind of lurches when trying to make sharp turns. The rear axles pop and click backing up.
From what Ive read about it, its not all the helpful unless you are planning on running 11s and it also promotes quite a bit of understeer...
When I get a new transmission built there will not be a welded center diff.
If none of that bothers you then go for it, keep in mind also Ive been driving around in a car with no first gear since Ive owned it... Im not sure how much of a role that plays but Im sure it makes it worse.

I know, I got a welded center diff also. Does it feel like it puts more drag on the car for you?
I get all those damn poping and clicking noises also.

There is only one good thing about a welded diff and that is it wont shatter as easily when you launch the car. That and you can drive with a broken axel.
Aside from that they suck for everyday driving.
