Default Stock Clutch

I dug these pics out after reading *cough*another thread, and it's a shame to have them go to waste. I don't even know why I wasted my money on a 2600. It was probably good for 11's as-is.

PS- Car had 75k, clutch had less- it had obviously been changed at least once.
PPS- No, I'm not the jackass that killed it. I'm just the jackass that bought it from the guy that killed it, then drove around on it for six months.

PPPS- Discuss

I think you'll get a few launches out of it before it fries. If it takes longer than that, you can start the torture process to see what it really takes to turn the stock clutch into dust- it's educational and destructive, there's no better combination.

I remember being right under the tranny helping support it when we pulled it away from the engine and having a pile of dust and fibers fall on my face- at least it wasn't a 1.8 with those dire warnings of "use extreme care working with clutch, contains asbestos, etc etc". Still not good on the lungs. One of my friends got a good mouthful of tranny lube after that, too, it was good times all around. That was the first major repair job on the car, fortunately a clutch swap is no longer the week-long ordeal it was when I didn't know a starter from an a/c compressor.

The mirage had a stock clutch and we put two of them in it it kept breaking the springs. it was fine with the small turbo. but the big one eats it up
