There are people on stock bottom ends in the 9's.

 

gut the shit outta an old gsx and make 400 whp and you'll run 10s with good driving....

there is a kid around here some where or he used to live around here. he has a mirage coupe with an almost stock bottom end iwth 2g pistions instead of 1g pistions and he runs in 9's iwth some nos. good luck. i rather be safe then sorry in my opinion. thanks mike
