Default evo motor in a RS/GS?

I was reading some stuff about the evo motor and it said that the motor/tranny were on the same side as the 420a motor/tranny...i was just wondering if i was correct on this and has anyone ever done this swap...if so is it damn hard/expensive and does anyone know a shop that would do it....thanks jake

In the long run I'm sure it would be MUCH cheaper to just start with a gst/gsx. They're incredibly affordable as it is anyways. Only major advantage of the swap I can see is the bragging rights.

lol, hell no, this would take too much work. you would have ALOT of custom fabricating to do.

well... how much would you have to spend to put a EVO motor in??? thats teh most important question....

Anything can be done with money... and not to down you chris, but sometimes if you put the extra work/money that would be needed... this guy might have a fucking badass car if he could pull it off.... not to mention the bragging rights

Let's put it this way, if you can't do the majority of the work yourself, you'll probably be spending close to the amount of your actual car to get it all done right.

Let me put it this way, it'll be FAR FAR FAR cheaper to get a turbo kit for you car AND having built internals than to actually put that motor in. Or you can always sell your car........

In my situtation, my 99 is already paid for and I don't wanna make another car/insurance payments. So I'm doing the best of what I have right now.

Yeah mines all paid off too...and i feel ya on not wanting car payments, but kits are so damn expensive and being a college kid i don't have the funds for one...but if i can't sell my car and get a gs-t or gsx i will start saving for a kit. anyone know someone who wants a RS auto?
