Magic. lol. Seriously, According to the box it has an accelerator(sp?) invented by some Jovo guy. I think its a couple of mercury switches and the processor measures how far the mercury travels and how long it stays there. That would be pretty darn accurate as far as I know. And alot of racers I know use this to tune their cars with very good success.
Anyways, to buy one from the store is fairly expensive and mines new so its a good buy for sure.
