Some suggestions?
Finally got around to putting my brake system together on my S5. I custom mounted some 300ZX calipers and rotors on the front, and kept it stock on the rear. Running a 300ZX master cylinder as well.
I've redone all the brake lines, seeing as mine were rusted as shit. Replaced the rear proportioning block.
The problem I am having is the braking power. It's there, stops OK in a sense, but not the way I wanted, or expected it to. I can't even lock the wheels up. There is no air in the lines, no leaks whatsoever, and I'm shit out of ideas.
Anybody have an idea of where my power loss is? My stock system before stopped faster. I wouldn't THINK using the stock brake booster with the 300zx master would be much of a difference, but then again, I 've been wrong before.

No, I have the stock brake booster in. I was a little buzzed when I wrote that post, I edited it for clarification

Nope using the stock booster shouldnt stop you from locking them up.
Enless its limiting the travel of the master clyinder.
If you open a bleeder a screw can you put the pedal all the way to the floor ?

Hmmm. They're brand new pads in the front, and new lines all around. Someone had suggested to me that I should maybe try out the 300ZX front proportioning valve or an adjustable one to see if that makes a difference. I might try that out

Proportioning valve only adjusts front to Rear bias.
If you can lock up the back but no the front then yes, but if you cant lock up any it woulnt make a diffrence.
Your just not building enough pressure.

I'll check it out today and let you know. What could keep me from building enough pressure?

I really dont have a clue.. maybe try going back to the rx7 MC..
I dont know what size the piston is on the stock master and 300z master.. or the pistion sizes of the calipers. those all can mess with pressure.. if the master cylinde cant move enough fluid then it cant build the pressure.
