if you don't know that the miata is rwd you shouldn't look at swapping a motor.
the klze is a probe/mx6 motor, both cars are fwd.

with that being said why are you looking at swapping the motor? what year is your miata, what are your main goals (hp,drag, drift, autox)? manual or auto transmission? there is alot of info you should give that will help us to help you. welcome to the board and remember we're here to help

Yes, there is at least one up and running.

Do you really think it will just 'drop right in'?

its not a direct swapp but with a rx-7 tranny it can be done. But i think the main problem is that motor is not ment to be inline so its oil passages arent at the right angle which is no good.

^^ exactly. it's really not worth the hassle, or fabrication work. the 1.6l in your car has tons of turbo kits for it. they make decent numbers and 200rwhp is more than enough in a 2200lb car. depending on what you really plan on doing with it will say if you "need" the higher numbers

I'd have to agree with everything said so far either:
turbo what you have
or
start thinking rotary
