ok my car has started to make a clicking noice like something is about the fall off but i can't find what i could be ? anyone else with a protege have had this problem or know what it could be i don't do valves so i looking for someone that can do that if that the problem

the car runs fine it's just makeing the noice and dosen't sound good at all i cant have the car down time for a big problem so i'd like to catch it before that !!

o and plz don't post if you can't help that means no should of bought a whatever jabs

 

try the mazda tech forum? they even have two stickies with loads of information on proteges

 

Does this sound happen when your driving or parked with the car running?


If it's happening while the car is parked and it's not like some loud ass metal on metal sound that doesn't get louder when you rev the car then, it prolly isn't your valves then....

We do have this freakin' solenoid for the charcoal canister that makes this weird ticking sound though.that motherfucker has been driving me nut's since I bought this fucking car....On my car it was located on my charge pipe by the throttle body maybe,it will be there at the top of you intake on your p5...
