RX7 swaps?
My friend just bought bought a 93 RX7 shell. He heard that the 13b's have a common problem of dieng within a short period of time. He is thinking about a doing a 20b swap/port and polish plus the boost. Now, what do you all think about that? is there a better swap? any idea where to get the swap and is there a GOOD shop around here that does swaps?
Also, if you have any recommendations, thoughts and things that i have to pay attention for, it would be greatly appreaciated.

LARGE FMIC with piping (24*18*3)
Greddy elbow
Tial BOV (50.5MM)
down pipe (3in)
mid pipe (3in)
Cat back Apexi N1 (something like 3 1/2in-4in)
rebuilt stock twins
AST bypass
Koyo Radiator with custom end tank (you know how they dip down and don't flow the entire length of the core??? not mine... custom tank man!!!)
HKS intakes
Fuel:
1650cc secondaries
550cc primaries
K2RD high flow fuel rail
SX Fuel Pressure Regulator
Nippondenso high pressure fuel pump
Electronics:
Microtech LT8
LT8 plug in harness (so there is no splicing of the wires to make it work... $150 option)
Greddy Profec B spec II
Apex Turbo Timer (the skinny silver one)
relocated battery (behind drivers seat)
Tranny:
rebuilt tranny
new syncros
aluminum flywheel
ACT street strip clutch
Brakes/Tires:
brembo cross drilled and sloted rotors all the way around
Hawk HPS pads all the way around
Steal braided brake lines all the way around
Potenza S-02's all the way around
everything is about 8K miles or less...

he is dead serious. Currently, he is done with his single turbo-charged vette. He already bought the rx7 shell. I dont think that he has the money now, but soon will. I will let him know of what you have and see what's going on.

If you have a shop do a 20b swap it will be about 30 grand, pettit racing does them. If you did all the labor yourself, it would still cost about 12-15k if you try to do it right. Go on rx7club and go in the 20b forum, plenty of people that have done, or are currently doing a 20b swap there.
