The NMRA blasts into the 2012 season with guns blazing, starting the year off right at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida, over the weekend of March 1-4, 2012. As the traditional jumping-off point for the NMRA season, Bradenton always brings record-setting weather and a great racing surface to the NMRA competitors. Last season’s event was punctuated by the race to 200 mph in the ProCharger Super Street Outlaw class, with perennial competitor Chris Tuten becoming the first racer to get down the 1320’ and light the board with an awesome 7.20 at over 201 mph during Friday’s qualifying sessions. With the release for 2012 of the NMRA’s newest heads-up class, the sealed-engine Coyote Stock class, the action is sure to be hot and heavy right from the hit in every class at the NMRA’s season opener. The NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals Series has a little bit of everything for the racing fan – from the hardcore Turbosmart Pro Outlaw 10.5 class that features turbo- and supercharged doorslammers that are capable of burning up the quarter-mile with mid-6-second passes, to the heavy hitters of the all-motor Edelbrock Hot Street class shooting for glory with their state-of-the-art small-block Ford engines. This awesome event, which Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords started back in 1995, features some of the fastest street-style Mustangs in the land competing for the honor of Spring Break Shootout champion. With easy to follow rules, the Muscle Mustangs Spring Break Shootout class regularly attracts over 100 True Street cars competing for a top-16 spot to qualify for the Shootout.
Spring Break Shootout Class Rules:
The Muscle Mustangs Spring Break Shootout class, presented by Baer Brake Systems, is a heads-up Quick 16 format race that will take place on Sunday, March 4th, 2012. The Spring Break Shootout race will be open to the quickest 16 cars that run in NMRA’s TREMEC True Street class (presented by Muscle Mustangs) on Saturday, March 3rd.
To be eligible for the Spring Break Shootout class, competitors must meet True Street rules, compete in the True Street class on Saturday, and make all three True Street passes. The sixteen (16) competitors who have the fastest 3-pass averages will be placed on a sportsman ladder and will race heads-up on a 4/10 pro tree.

The RingBROTHERS will be bringing a 1965 Mustang Fastback nicknamed the “Producer”. The car certainly does produce – 740 horsepower from the 351/427 strocker V8 built by Keith Craft that uses and Edelbrock Super Victor 4 barrel intake, Holley 75 HP carbureator and a Crane cam, roller rockers and distributor. The car also features a Tremec T56 6-speed transmission, Baer brakes, Forgeline 3-piece 18-inch wheels and a fully custom interior with a chromoly roll cage. The exterior is perhaps the most impressive part of the car, with fenders widened four inches, custom orange BASF paint and a carbon fiber roof and hood.
