Finding a Meet....a Couple Ways

Sometimes people ask in Local Events, or when we are talking at some of the meets which I go to: "Senor Honda, where is the location of a meet on a certain evening.?"
Example:
Any frequent spots to meet up at on Fri/Sat night?

New to the area, been on here asking if there are any meets. Just looking to meet some people. Still don't know anybody who's into the car scene yet. But frequent weekend meeting spots would be helpful. Thanks.

One of my answers is:
There is something going on almost every night.
Keep checking the first two/three pages of local events.
Post on their thread asking if they are still meeting in that spot.
Few people are going to answer your question if you post/ask in Local
Events....local events is mostly for "posting" events instead of asking about them.

This Friday night/16th will be a great meet at USF. maybe 200 cars.
There are others around. keep checking Local Events.

Check the Tech forums for various type cars.......
example: Brand X car guys will post a meet in their Brand X tech forum.
If you are a respectful person, they might not mind you hanging out with them.

I go to a lot of meets where I don't have that type car, but people who are friends
have that type car, and I go to hang out with my friends....the type car is irrelevant.
Real car guys don't care what you drive. The friendship, and being around other car
guys is what counts.-Bob

and when I click here on Tampa Racing: Local Events
I can look at any day, and I can tell what events are on the calendar for that day.
In March 2016 there were 1,116 postings on the calendar.

Saturday I went to a grand opening celebration and free breakfast, and at lunch time
we had free hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, and for the cool people who knew
about it, there were greens cooking in the pot with pepperoni and ham.
...plus free sodas and water....

and later that evening at another show/meet, we had all-you-can-eat pizza and soda
with some rock and roll music.

Leesburg bike fest is also this weekend, and I thought about going up there
to listen to the bands and get some pictures of some custom motorcycles.
I check the Tampa Racing calendar almost every day for the latest updates.

When I click here on Tampa Racing: https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/forum.php
and scroll down, there are about 2 to 3 pages of Car, Truck and Bike meets and shows
during the next two weeks.

There is no schedule in Florida as complete as the one at Tampa Racing.
I'm sincerely greatful that I know so many people who send Tampa Racing info
about their events so I can post it on the Tampa Racing calendar.
