I've personally had issues with eagle rods making over 600 but maybe it wasn't that set of rods day lol. But no harm were done to the bearings

I'm sure there is more to that story... Could have been a tuning issue or an issue with the build.... The Eagle rods have proven themselves time and time again since switching to the 3/8" bolts... The older designs had some issues due to rod bolts stretching, but the castings themselves are great... There are a LOT of factors that can damage a rod, regardless of what type of rod it is.... I have been doing this stuff since 98-99 and have yet to see an Eagle rod bend or break in one of our applications (Honda, Mitsu, etc.), that wasnt a result of some other catastrophic failure... Hell, back when Lisa Kubo was THE ONE to beat in import drag racing, She was running Eagle rods in a B16 bottom end...

Were not worried about the eagles, theyve held up great for a long time in the white teg with no problem, and theyre still riding out.

I wouldn't push eagles past 800whp, although people have done it. i would spend the extra couple bucks and get manley turbo tuffs or the new BC rods. they have the aged 625 rod bolt. better than Manleys I believe.
