Honda Challenge
Honda Challenge
NASA Honda Challenge of Florida is looking for new drivers!
Put simply it is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to put your Honda where it belongs, on a real race track. Anyone can register their car and get some track days under their belt with the NASA High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) courses. You don't even need a track-prepped car to get out there and put down some lap times, as long as your car can pass a simply safety inspection (seatbelts, no broken glass, lug nuts, etc) then you can get full speed runs on some of the most fun courses here in Florida.
After getting working through a few HPDE courses you can qualify for a competition license and join the ranks of the Honda Challenge racers. Sponsorship and contingency programs are offered from Hawk Performance, Toyo Tires, Hoosier, and HPD (Yes, you can/will be sponsored by HONDA!)
Getting started is surprisingly easy, just register with NASA national website, then sign up for the event you want to attend on the NASA Florida website. New drivers will want to sign up for HPDE 1, which includes an instructor ride-along to help familiarize you with the track.

EDIT* NASA Honda Challenge has recently announced CASH PRIZES for regional races, no other grassroots orginization for road racing Hondas in this region has even close to the financial bonuses associated with Honda Challenge, it just keeps getting better.
EDIT 2* Here are some videos from Homestead Miami Speedway May 21st, This is from the HPDE group, I was riding passenger in a red DC2, mostly stock with a rollcage and race tires, my bro SickEF9 was in the white EF hatch that we were following. Hella Fun.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
– the late Tom Thrash SCCA Solo E Production
For anyone who has never been on track before, these types of track days are the absolute best starting point. Leave your ego at the door, and let an experienced instructor show you how its done. After learning how to drive properly, you'll probably never want to drive fast on the street again.
Or on the street in general.
This is where you learn that straight lines are to be found through chicanes, not on 1/4 mile strips!
