Default Ivtec S2000 anyone?

Here is a article that they put I-Vtec(VTC or "ECS") on a F20/F22 S2000 engine. Looks pretty crazy.

Guess nobody cares to chime in with this...it makes quite a bit more power for the S.

It is 100hp midrange increase...not top end...very possible. I mean shit, I high whp (built) B-series, swapping from stock intake manifold to the Victor X, was able to make like 40whp more in midrange just with a manifold swap. Cams are a much more vital aspect. If they can change how the cams open the valves they can fine tune the intake side of the motor much much better. Intake side is the side that either makes or breaks you.

Never been a huge import buff, but I really do love S2K's, especially with a hard top!

One thing I'll ALWAYS give Honda is the genius of VTEC, and how something so simple can make a motor respond so much to it. Looking at a blowup diagram of my 5.0L pushrod as opposed to the F series motor in the S is insane, seeing differences of the way everything's designed. Good shit!
