SoL Swap
The time to swap is coming soon for me. 130k on my D15 and its starting to run ragged..... I would love to do a B20 but would probably cost me an arm and a leg...... I wonder if anyone knows anyone whos gone LS in a del sol.....
do you think an LS would be faster than a B20, and if i did LS would i have to use the parts from a VTEC sol such as the shift linkage or motor mounts or any other parts needed?

theres no reason an LS would be faster than a B20 given each has the same mods/same driver.
Id save up and go for the B20 personally....longblock is 800, not much more than an LS...

Things people tell me about how B20 isnt made for high revving, bad valvetrain setup, terrible r/s ratio, make me believe the LS would be more ideal. Im just trying to get all the facts.

The LS and the B20 are identical longblocks...Except for the B20's Larger Bore Size...Torque is what gets you moving and the Longer Stroke of the B20b/z & B18a/b, produces Plenty of Torque...Plus they are cheaper than a GSR, Same amount of parts available...Many GSR Parts are interchangeable with them...N/A motors only have Displacement as their largest power adder...There are Many Advantages to the Larger B-series motors...
