Ek Auto to Manual Swap question!
 

Ok I'm doing an Auto to manual swap on my 96 Ek 4dr. But there is something I need cleared about installing the shift linkage. Is cutting of the floor and welding actually necessary to complete this conversion?? Any help at all would be appreciated! Thanks

not sure if u got your answer yet but that one little trench where the auto cable runs through will need to be cut out or the manual linkage wont fit.u just need to cut the little trench out not butcher the entire thing like i did my first time lol. and there is no need to weld it, u can just get some gasket paper or gasket maker and screw in a piece of aluminum or metal to cover the hole. hope this info helps. if you are still lost i can give you a hand with the conversion.
