Default what has more hp the gsr with stage 2 cams or a b18a1 with a gsr head and stage 2 cam

ok i had a stock gsr b18c1 with stage 2 cams and now i am looking into building a ls vtec b18a1 with my gsr head and stage 2 cams wich motor will be faster the gsr or the ls vtec
will i be let down when the ls gets into my teg or will it be a change for the better
the ls block is a used block with used pistons and rods from the junk yard they look all fine though nothing is messed up the pistons say pr4 on them i dont know if thats good or bad?

Im gonna go with the GSR, because when you hit VTEC with those LS pistons its going to bend every valve.

how will the valves get bent ? is it because it has stage 2 cams i have seen ls vtec gsr head with b18a1 bottom but with stock cams and even when the vtec hit nothing went wrong

They are perfectly reliable if built correctly. A lot of people have no business building engines.

this.

if you build any motor half ass its gonna blow. he probably used all used parts/cheap ass parts and tried to rev it to the moon. building RIGHT its 100% realiable. but when you build it useing used or cheap parts what do you expect??

this!

haha ppl who say ls/v's aren't reliable are usually wrong.

Id do a GSR tho...my reasons being you already have the motor, GSR's have oil squirters, gsr are already made to spin 8k+, & yer GSR compression will be higher than a stock ls/v "witch you will like to have with bigger cams"
Only plus about Ls/v's are the tad bit of stroke you get out of them..." & its not even noticeable."

Im running a ls/v setup & put about 1000 miles a week on it for the past 3 months & have never had any major problems
