The kumhos are good. If you get the hoosiers be aware that the a6 is for autocross mainly they heat up faster and the r6 is a road race tire. Those are the only 2 I have personally used.

Currently I am using:

For drag street tire: Falken Azeni RT-615K

For autox street tire: Kuhmo Ecsta XS (read up on Andy Hollis testing these tires, so far on my hatch I agree with the grip preformance)

Last year I for autox I ran the Hoozier A4 (bought them used and they were awesome)

The previous year for autox I used the Hankook Z214 C50 (medium compound) and loved them and they lasted a full season with no issues

I was going to go with the Toyo R1R as that is now the popular tire choice for autox ST Class but they jacked the price way high. And in the test on Andy's car the Kuhmo beat the Toyo.

I wanted to go with anohter set of R Comps for the season but 3 cars needing tires does not allow the budget to provide for that.

I would have to say though the only cars I see competing on the Kuhmo V710 are those with a larger wheel base and a heavier car weight, i.e. Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro, etc.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

be careful with auto-x tires if youre driving on the street- they heat up waaaay too much (designed to heat up immediately during a run, not for continuous use). The R6's are scary slippery in the rain, as they take about 2 laps at sebring to start creating any grip at all (ask flatrex about me in a 951 about to lose control, my job, and my lunch all at once in the rain a couple years back). I have heard many good things about the v710s as an all around sneaker.
