So i got a 93 cx hatch with a ls that has been givin me hell for about a year now i fix one thing then another goes out and so on it goes, well recently it has been down for two weeks in my garage and i just cant seem to get it to run like it used to. It just wants to be slow and slugish and not have any get up at all. It starts perfect and idles amazing. Ill let it warm up and then it drives great up until 2700-3200 rpms where it like skips around and bogs out but after that it runs fine as long as i dont get on it. But on the other hand if it is at a complete stop and i just get on it from the line it will skip and like miss all over the board. Any ideas from anyone? Im switchin out my fuel pump and main relay but other then this i am at a loss. Also the car has no cels. Thanks

 

Sounds like either you need to inspect your distributor for any cracks in the cap,rotor, or your wires are arching and causing a miss. Also look at the icm in the distributor for any burn marks.

 

Yeah i checked out the dizzy when i retimed everything and it all apeared to be good, but i can check it again and see if i can find anything.

 

Also try swapping plug wires with a friend, that might clear it up.

 

So i went to drive it to walmart to see if it was fixed after switchin fuel pumps and the dizzy took a complete shit, good call there flatrex

Im pretty sure he wasnt being sarcastic. Wake, I had the same problem in my integra, and it was the rotor inside the dizzy, for some reason the metal part was all chewed up on the rotor. Changed the cap and rotor and wires and fixed my problem.

 

Damn sucks you broke down mine left me stranded a couple months ago when my distributor crapped out. But I knew it was coming I had ordered my new one that day and bam on my way home from work I'm stuck on the side of the road calling a friend to borrow his dist.

 

Yeah the rotor blew into three peices inside the dizzy, i was not bein sarcastic like i was drivin the shit missed like three times back fired and then it was done lol
