What can you guys tell me about this motor. Is it a good motor for mini-meing? I picked one up for a real good price from hybrid hatch(awesome guy) and i plan on putting a z6 headon it, taking my D16A6 out of my car, swapping the tranny and manifolds over, and dropping the mini me in my car.
i have well over 200,000 miles...and it was a really really good price. just a block, not the whole swap. i wanna put a d16z6 sohc vtec head on it. just looking for some info regarding how well this block will work with the head. Its a pm3. bore and stroke is 75 x 84.5 with stock 9.1:1 compression ratio. The si has a cr of 9.2:1 and is 90mm as oppsed to 84.5 mm.
the site i went to for specs had the bore & stroke for the 1991 si listed as: 75.0 x 90.0 mm. Is that wrong?
edit heres the site.

the bore and stroke that you posted seem right for the d15. The d15 is the most common block to do a mini me since most people that do mini me's don't have the goodies to to an entire engine swap, they just take their dpfi heads out and slap a vtec head on there.
As far as compression ratio, I think that with the vtec head you should be above 9.5:1 compresssion if you use a z6 head, slightly higher if you use a y8 head.
I am going to guess that you should be around 118-120 flywheel horespower with the mini me once you're done and everything is nice and tuned.
hope this helps, and remember, if you want to run the p28 ecu (sohc vtec) I can make a converison harness for your ECU for $100 or you can make it yourself (it is not that hard!)
