for some reason on my car my map sensor is mounted to my firewall but it looks ghetto like it shouldnt be there. did mine break off the engine and someone just put it there?

its a b18a in an ef civic.
so again where the heck is it supposed to be?

my air/fuel is all fucked to hell so i think mine it toasted

i changed out all the fuel stuff already and its still fuckin up. so its prob a sensor.

changed ecu.distrib.fuelpump,filter,pressure regulatr,injectors. still says code 43 fuel supply doesnt say map.

 

Pre obd cars mounted on the firewall u can buy a obd1/2 throttle body and map sensor and just use that style

 

does the car run like hell till 2500 then it runs lgood after that

 

yup low rshared_pm fucked. full throttle is much better. bogs like mad low throttle if i try to idle it at like 3k it sucks. if i mash the gas is much better, although tonigt the car ran perfect, i actually now think its my o2 sensor. i was running the car hard tonight and had no problems at all. usually it misses or bogs but somedays its all good

i had a simalar issue b4 and the car always ran good at night and bad in the day turned out o2 sensor was really bugging somehow.
still says code 43 on mine, o2 sensor is the only thing i have not switced, although it measure exhaust leaving i dont know how that would fuck up my ecu that badly to not run right fuel maps. im gettn shit gas miles. like i said changed everything possbible.

 

i have owned 20 efs never even knew there was a code 43. its really pissing me off.

 

as soon as i get an engine for my new ef this car is going for sale for 1500. its not a bad ride if someone can fix the problem.

still runs out good most of the time. codes 43 and 14.
ha sport mounts, ls swap. 150k miles 50k or less on new clutch. small oil leak. other minor problems, no ac no ps the basic shit with a ghetto swap car. no grinds on tranny!!
i drive the car for deliverys for a small pizza place so i drive it everyday it ALWAYS runs just is not running like it should due to the fuel issue whatever the hell it is.
im sick of dealing with it, ima try a new map and then new o2 and after that im over it.

 

when i first swapped the car it ran totally fine for 2 years, now i have no idea wtf is going on.

 

I was having similar problems with my LS and it was the Map sensor bought a new one placed it on top of the T/B and runs great now
