Did you use black silicone when you put the new gasket on and check to see if the gasket is sitting properly?....it seems you dont really know a couple things.....

You aren't supposed to use silicone. If installed correctly, just the gasket is needed. I have never and will never use the silicone. It causes a mess. Honda/acura never used silicone when installing these gaskets from the factory.

Well if you use the silicone right it wont cause a mess...i use it to make sure i wont have any leaks and it stays there.
