my advice fucking get one cause if you do end up fucking up you walls its much more expensive plus if you do it later on then thats more money just to take the head off its much easier to put one on before you but ur engine back together unless it already is

They are a waste of money and even the people that make them agree. If you do end up getting one make sure is pressed in before you bore and hone the block. Cause the installation process tends to "egg" shape the cyl cause of the tight fit.

^his right you have to have the engine honed again after you install it.i have only done 2 turbo sohc motors i myself use a blockguard in every motor"thats not stockrebuilt" building a sohc for turbo sucks.buy a ls motor..unless you find a old set of the eagle rods with the Edge sloped and 5/16bolts then you will need to cut the block"also has to be done b4 honeing/boreing"

Honestly I have had good success without them and with them installed correctly. They need to be welded in right below the cylinder sleeves and cylinders bored/honed
