vtec does not crossover untill 5800rpms

i have a 91 hatch with a b17a the bolt ons and a ys1 tranny that has the same gearing as a type r(i think it is a b16 tranny) and what i believe to be a gsr ecu my vtec does not kick in untill 5700-5800 rpms my friends ls vtec kicks in at 4900 what gives. my computer is not throwing a single code either

yeah i had a problem with my speed censor when i first got my swap it would cause the crossover to come in at like 6000rpm but it was throwin the speed censor code are you positive it is a gs-r computer what does the code on the side of it say ?? could be a chiped ecu that the guy before you had.

the vtec is supposed to kick in at 5800 its perfectly normal. your friend might have his ecu chipped to have the vtec crossovr at 4900.

V-AFC.. get one..change the oil and check all sensors
