i finally got the codes to go away and the fitv eacv are working right now but when Im driving (highway) or even around the city the car feels like its sputtering *shrug* hard to explain but i guess its like if i was driving and someone was shutting off my fuel pump intermittently. if i step on the gas its like theres a lag. im guessing the fuel pump needs to be replaced but was wondering if you guys have experienced this prob. and if it might be something else. im running a spoon computer itr manifold I/H/E and the skunk2 cams if that helps any

Id toss my money on a gasket failure or vacuum leak if its not OBD2 (since youre not throwing a code) but there is also the possibility that its originating from your igition side. Pull off the distributer cap check the rotor to make sure its in spec and then bust out the multimeter and test out the igniter. A while ago my car went through the same ordeal and I ended up tracing it back to a bad ignitor.

you might want to bump the fuel pressure up a couple pounds sounds like the problem Ive been having.

still doing the little sputter/surges (somewhat like a turbo when it lags) replaced fuel filter (wasnt sure how long its been so I did it anyways) no gasket or vacuum leaks ignitor is good not enuf fuel pressure?

My best guess would be fuel pressure usually the japanese computers are programed to use 100 octane fuel which they have in japane so you might need to bump the fuel press up to correct it.

checked the rotor? You can build up deposits on the platter and itll lead to surging. How did you go about checking the igniter? Just checking out the contacts aint going to cut it youll need to get in there with a multimeter and probe it.
