hey there guys. i got the vafc 1 , to alter my vtec engage point. but it did not come with the pinout on what wire is which. someone please explain how to get this thing up and running please.

 

go to apexi web site and search for vafc intallation.and it will give you a site for you to down load the instruction that come with the vafc brand new.....but before you hook it up i would do some research on the vafc 1 because many more than one have complained bout vtec not kicking in like its suppose to.i hear you have to buy a resistor for the vtec wire output...not 100 percent sure but go have fun with it just dont blow up that motor .get professional tunning advice .

 

Any professional tuner would tell you not to use a VAFC, and to get a proper tune with the VTEC engagement set to where it makes the most power.

 

If you're vtec is at 5500 stock you could put it at 5200 that is if you have a intake and that would make a difference. Just don't move it too much because you'll lose power.

 

Sell the vafc those things are hacks. Get your ecu chipped and tuned
