Bought a brand new distributor and its not sparking i messaged the company that i bought it from and they still haven't responded my message. anything i should be looking for like as in why is not sparking?

anyone can guide me in the right direction?

oh and its a obd0 b16 distributor

 

you wasted your money send it back go to autozone and buy a 90 crx si distibutor cut a leg off and you will be happy

 

but wait a sec does the casting number matter?

 

no it will fit your dohc vtec and will still holed up with 2post,i made the mistake of buying a "jdm obd-0"b16 they suck so i bought a new crx si one cut a post off or did you buy it off ebay?

so basically i bought it brand new from this guy on ebay some company in cali.

ima have to run to my boys house and see if his dizzy turns my car on.

 

If you want it clean looking, buy a used distributor for your car off ebay and change out the cap/rotor/ignitor and call it a day.

Rang is right about cutting the ear off but you run into the problem where you can only advance the ignition so much...I think it actually will run 1 degree retarded at max advance. We did this to a gsr just to get the car running and it worked but later we still ended up getting the stock dizzy. Plus it looks ugly lol

 

oh i know this about the single cam ones is what it had on before.

and no like i said in the beginning the distributor is brand new
